Through the Environmental and Tourism Secretary in La Jagua de Ibirico, Drummond Ltd., donated 400 fruit trees, with the purpose of commemorating International Earth Day that was celebrated Friday April 21st.

Erica Trujillo, Social Programs Coordinator for La Jagua de Ibirico, was in charge of receiving the donation in the name of the community of the municipality.

Drummond’s donation is for tree planting programs for the roads located at the main entrance of the La Jagua municipality, and for educational institutions.

This donation is supported by the company’s Environmental Department and Tree Nursery, who are in charge of protecting the vegetation not only inside Drummond Ltd.’s installations, but also in its areas of influence. Likewise, they also take care of providing the necessary materials to the municipalities along the mining corridor as part of their reforestation program.
