Public Service

Drummond positively impacts the local infrastructure in many ways. From the development of programs that strengthen the community, to institutional training for public servants, we continue to play a critical role in the community where we live, work, and play.

Institutional Training

Drummond organizes trainings and workshops for civil servants in the municipalities in the area of influence in the departments of Cesar and Magdalena, in order to provide the necessary tools to foster efficient governance.

Similarly, in order to generate a culture conducive to the preservation of natural resources, Drummond trains public education teachers in the municipalities of Codazzi, Becerril, La Jagua de Ibirico, Chiriguaná and El Paso in the areas of environmental education, management and social responsibility.

Road Maintenance

As a response to the many requests made by representatives of local municipalities, expressing the urgent need to improve mobility conditions, in 2010 and 2011, Drummond assisted more than 96 neighborhoods, benefiting approximately 153,000 inhabitants of the mining towns in Cesar.

Drummond contributed to the costs with equipment and tools, operators, equipment maintenance, fuel and the transport of the machinery to the communities. The cities contributed with fill material to build up the shoulders of the roads.
