For the fourth time, Drummond Ltd. will bring together the new leaders from its area of influence in Cesar and Magdalena for a Good Governance Seminar.

* Practical workshops will be used to contribute to government leadership and management, focusing on topics of interest that promote citizen participation, human rights, transparency, understanding of treasury, finances and the region, among other aspects that are needed for the welfare and development of the communities.

On November 29, 30 and December 1, Drummond Ltd. will hold the fourth Good Governance Seminar at the Estelar Santamar Convention Center, located in the city of Santa Marta. It will be attended by the new governors, mayors, council members and deputies from the area of influence in the departments of Cesar and Magdalena who were chosen in the elections held on October 29. The objective is to provide them with tools that will help them strengthen and develop the public management that they will carry out starting on January 1st of next year, as well as to strengthen their relationships with the company.

Therefore, approximately 200 government leaders from the departments of Cesar and Magdalena, specifically the municipalities of Agustin Codazzi, Becerril, La Jagua de Ibirico, Chiriguaná, El Paso, Bosconia and El Copey in the department of Cesar; and the municipalities of Algarrobo, Fundación, Aracataca, Zona Bananera and Ciénaga in Magdalena, which are part of Drummond’s mining, railroad and port areas of influence, will attend this Seminar.

The purpose of the event is to give the newly elected officials and leaders the tools to better manage the relevant issues for their communities related to human rights, transparent management, policies, public finance, innovation projects, regional development, security planning and coexistence in their areas, among others of interest. Due to its structure, the meeting will also be an opportunity to interact, share experiences, exchange ideas and review success stories from other governments, which will allow them to work for the benefit of their communities. The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Ministries of Justice, the National Attorney General’s Office, experts in social development and innovation, academic and business leaders who will contribute to the Seminar’s agenda and training, as well as Drummond’s senior management, who will show the progress that can be achieved by working together through corporate strategies that are aligned with government plans.
